Quilts Classes taught at Quilting Adventures

Miniatures in Minutes

These are so much FUN!!!  First you need to know the finished quilts are about one foot square... yes only 12 inches total!  They are foundation pieced from the book Miniatures in Minutes by Terrie Sandelin.  Sure there are lots of little pieces, but they go together quickly and are so impressive!!!

The Quickest Quick Step

This is a fun fast quilt-as you go quilt.  Once you finish the piecing it is ready for binding!  It is reversible-- the above photos show the two sides of one quilt.

Kensington Kaleidoscope

This pattern is by "Quilt Moments". If you'd like to find out more visit  www.quiltingadventures.com, click on classes.  You will find "Kensington Kaleidoscope under "Advanced Beginner/Intermediate" Classes

Kaleidoscope Star Quilt

In this class we will make a Star Kaleidoscope Quilt from the book Kaleidoscope ABC's using the Marti Michell Kaleido-Ruler.  The ruler eliminates the need for templates; and techniques from the book make it possible to get perfect star center points every time! We will learn how to cut identical fabric repeats and a few tips on matching corners and points.

Purse-sonality

The pattern is "Purse-sonality" by Stitchin' Sisters.  It has to hidden pockets inside created by the overlapping fabrics.  I've added quilting and changed the handles from the original pattern.   If you'd like to find out more visit www.quiltingadventures.com, click on classes.  You will find "Purse-sonality" under "Bags and Purses"

Under the Tulips

In this class we will learn Hand Appliqué using the starch method as explained in Linda Hohag’s book “Critter Caboodle.”  While my sample is the hedgehog “Under the Tulips”, you may also choose from other patterns in the book

Rick Rack Stack

This is a fun and fast project great for quilters of all levels.  We will use foundation piecing to create the scrappy borders. It is from the book “The Sweet Life” by Heather Mulder Peterson

  Strawberry Shortcake

This project is from the book "The Sweet Life" by Heather Mulder Peterson.  The scraps from this quilt were used to make the Rick Rack Stack Table runner.

Kaliedo-Ruler

In this class you will learn everything you need to know to use the Kaleido-Ruler.  We will practice the basic block, spider web blocks, and the diamond border.  You will also get a demonstration of using repeats to make a kaleidoscope star block.  After class you can make more blocks to turn your samples into a fabulous quilt!
