As you move through the pages in Michele's Craft Gallery, you will see many photos of my work.  I have divided my work into three categories: Children's Clothing & Hats, Quilts & Quilted Items, and Wonderful Onesies & Terrific Toddler Tees. Some of the work I have made for myself or to give as gifts, other items I have made to sell at local craft shows. Creating crafts is only a hobby at this point; my goal is to sell enough so I can buy materials to make more!  I hope you enjoy viewing my work. I only have a small inventory on hand, but am always interested in accepting custom orders.  Please click here to contact me with questions, comments, or inquiries about custom-made items.

My Recent Project

"The Road They Travelled"
This quilt was custom made as a wedding present. Each image along the road represents something about the young couple who met at Providence College.  The road leads to the big wedding day!

About The Artist: Michele Holt
In my previous life, I was a kindergarten teacher in Connecticut.  In 2002, my husband and I moved to Virginia and had our first son. Although I plan to teach here someday, I am currently a stay at home mother of two energetic boys (ages 3 years and 6 years). I enjoy making crafts after bed time!  It is my time, just for me. I am the president of the Arts and Crafts Guild of Goochland and vice president of The Country Piecemaker's Quilt Guild.

Quilting Classes

I'm excited to be able to say I am a quilt teacher now!  I've taught my first class and have more in progress for 2009 at Quilting Adventures of Richmond, VA.  Here are classes I have coming up!

Coming in JULY

"Kaleidoscope Star Quilt"

In this class we will make a Star Kaleidoscope Quilt from the book Kaleidoscope ABCʼs using the Marti Michell Kaleido-Ruler.  The ruler eliminates the need for templates; and techniques from the book make it possible to get perfect star center points every time! We will learn how to cut identical fabric repeats and a few tips on matching corners and points.

These quilts are from pattern books that will be featured at the
Minnesota Road Show Event
on Saturday, August 15 at Quilting Adventures.
I am working on a few more samples for the event, so check back to see more

Work for "A Needle Runs Through It"

I have  been doing some contract work for a local quilt shop "A Needle Runs Through It."  It is a long arm quilting shop.  I have been working on tee-shirt quilts and other custom quilt projects.  Once they do work their magic with the long arm quilting machines these projects really become something to see!  Check out their  website  to find out more http://www.aneedlerunsthroughit.com/
