ACGG HomeMichele's Craft GalleryChildren's Clothing and HatsQuilts and Quilted ItemsWonderful Onesies & Terrific Toddler Tees

As you move through the pages in Michele's Craft Gallery, you will see many photos of my work.  I have divided my work into three categories: Children's Clothing & Hats, Quilts & Quilted Items, and Wonderful Onesies & Terrific Toddler Tees. Some of the work I have made for myself or to give as gifts, other items I have made to sell at  local craft shows. Creating crafts is only a hobby at this point; my goal is to sell enough so I can buy materials to make more!  I hope you enjoy viewing my work. I only have a small inventory on hand, but am always interested in accepting custom orders.  Please click here to contact me with questions, comments, or inquiries about custom-made items.

The Goochland Christmas Mother is Holding a quilt raffle for this Red and Green Double Irish Chain.  I pieced the quilt.  The quilting was done by A Needle Runs Through It of Maidens Loop.  Tickets are given for a $5 donation.  They will be available at Field Day of the Past in Centerville on Sept 19-21, Goochland Farmers Market on Sept 28 and Oct 19, and at the ACGG Holiday Extravaganza on Nov.8

About The Artist: Michele Holt
In my previous life, I was a kindergarten teacher in Connecticut.  In 2002, my husband and I moved to Virginia and had our first son. Although I plan to teach here someday, I am currently a stay at home mother of two energetic boys (ages 2 years and 5 years). I enjoy making crafts during nap time or after bed time!  It is my time, just for me. I am the president of the Arts and Crafts Guild of Goochland and vice president of The Country Piecemaker's Quilt Guild.

LOOK WHAT'S NEW: WORK IN PROGRESS
I have been spending a lot of time quilting, but I am also working on more wonderful onesies and terrific tees!  I have also been doing some contract work for a local quilt shop "A Needle Runs Through It."  It is a long arm quilting shop.  I have been working on tee-shirt quilts and other custom quilt projects.  Check out their  website  to find out more http://www.aneedlerunsthroughit.com/

"To the Point" Mystery Quilt
I am making this for my niece who likes blue.  It was a Country Piecemakers' quilt guild mystery in a day program... now it is ready to be quilted!

Green Squares
This quilt is for my nephew who likes green.  It is a pattern I made up using a selection of fat quarters.  It has one inch squares surrounded by two inch squares, then tree, four, and five... Than I went around again starting with the one inch squares again!

Log Cabin Quilt

The quilt guild I am a member of made a Log Cabin quilt as a group charity project.  After seeing how it was done, I just had to make one of my own.  The top is done and I plan to machine quilt it as soon as I can.

Irish Chain Zoo
Below is my current big project.  I'm making an Irish Chain with an animal theme.  The animal blocks are paper pieced from patterns in Animal Kingdom by Margaret Rolfe.  I have a few more animals to make.  I have 4 more animals to complete. Once I put the blocks together I plan to add a great animal print border.
