When I am quilting, I like to have fun and do my own thing.  I make up most quilts as I go.  I enjoy sewing things together just to see how it ends up.  I might decide to make up some blocks without any plan for how they will go together... but as I work it all just comes together!  I quilt some quilts by hand, but most of my quilts are quilted on long arm machines by Lyon's Den Quilting and Windy Hill Quilting.

Look at what I am working on.  It is a stack and whack block.  I made a bunch, and am laying them out as I go.  The pinwheel effect was a pleasant surprise!

Random blocks were sewn together to create the perfect background for the giant daisy on this quilt.

This quilt was made from an old flannel nightgown that I found at a local consignment shop.  I just loved the designs on it and had to make a quilt out of it!

Japanese Lantern blocks were used to make this quilt top.  Look closely at the fabrics.  They really make the quilt interesting!

For this quilt, I started with the center block, then added borders until it reached this final design. Like a "Round Robin" that I did by myself.

This was made with a group of 9 Patch blocks that I put together.  It is simple but elegant!

I took a quilting class through Goochland Parks and Recreation to make this Quilted Sweatshirt Jacket.
